500 YEARS AFTER REFORMATION GERMANY
AGAIN IS IN NEED OF REFORMED THEOLOGY.
The Reformation that spread from Germany to the rest of the world was good and important. Over the centuries, orthodoxy and orthopraxy in the German churches of the Reformation declined. Pietism, liberalism, and loose evangelicalism increased, until there were virtually no Reformed churches left.
The Heidelberger Society has been formed to encourage and support the exciting work of reestablishing Reformed churches in Germany. This missionary activity is dependent on financial support, and likely will be for many years. The Heidelberger Society has already identified worthy church planting efforts in the cities of Heidelberg and Hannover, and a number of other cities as well. There is also a small seminary we would like to support that has already successfully graduated a handful of students, and there is of course a great need for publishing and translation as well as new media outreach projects.
